This range of superior quality hog brushes provides a level of performance that is unrivalled. Artists' Hog is made from the finest materials and to the highest level of craftsmanship, achieving the degree of sensitivity demanded by discerning artists. By using only the finest chunking bristles, the brush retains its working edge and shape for far longer. The natural curve of the bristle is utilised to ensure no loss of natural spring. There are 6 different styles in this range. Caring for artists' brushes Brushes must be cared for if they are to remain clean, responsive and enduring. Following a painting session using Oil or Acrylics, wipe the excess colour from brushes, using a rag or Winsor & Newton Artwipes. Remaining colour in the brush should be removed by rinsing the brush in the appropriate solvent. After working with water based media, brushes should be thoroughly rinsed in clean water. It is then very important to clean and shape the brush. This is best achieved by using Winsor & Newton Artgel or household soap., working a lather in the palm of the hand and rinsing in cool water. Continue until there is no trace of colour in the lather. Finish by shaping the brush by hand and stand it up in a brush pot to dry. |
